Gears of War 2 is a third-person shooter video game and is the sequel to the critically acclaimed best seller Gears of War.

The Gears of War 2 game continues the story of Marcus Fenix, a reluctant war hero, he leads the Delta Squad on a series of perilous and adrenalin-pumping missions. The story engages survival, loss and retribution. Its six months after the detonation of the Lightmass Bomb at the end of the first Gears of War game, Most of the Locust Horde was destroyed, but the explosion has caused much of the liquid Imulsion underground to vaporize, causing a fatal disease called “Rust Lung” it’s spreading amongst the diminished human population.

In the game, Gears of War 2, the locust have found a way to make giant emergence holes that are capable of sinking complete cities at once. Marcus Fenix and the Delta Squad are now drilling underground to “take the fight to the locust”.

Gears of War 2 Gameplay

The action in the game, Gears of War 2, is bigger and better there are new characters with nasty enemies that make the Brumak look like a baby panda bear, the vehicles are bigger there’s a Centaur Tank which is like a tank with Monster truck wheels also players can ride a Brumak in the Gears of War 2, previously the Brumak could only be fought by the player as an enemy, with new weapons as well as the ones from the previous game, the accuracy, function and the power of several weapons has been altered and now all grenades can now be used as mines by placing them on walls or floors and they will detonate when an enemy approaches it, chainsaw duels and shocking boss fights.

Gears of War 2 visual effects include ambient occlusion, dynamic shadows, improved character lighting. There is increased blood and gore, when a player is dying, when he moves he will leave a trail of blood behind him, this is the same for enemies and the opponents who’ve been used as a meat shield. Using the sniper rifle as a sledgehammer or using the torque bow as an axe is another feature that will enable you to kill your opponent. In Gears of War 2 you will have the ability to duel with an A1 or human opponent when you both use the chainsaw attachment of the Lancer rifle.

Gears of War 2 Features

* Brothers in arms: Have a friend join or leave your single player game whenever you want, and even battle together on different difficultly levels.

* Evolving enemies: You finally get a chance to take down the giant Brumak enemies, as well as even larger monsters and new creatures, such as the explosive Ticker.

* Practise makes perfect: Practice the multiplayer mode on your own with computer controlled “bots”--then use the new matchmaking system to find a real opponent of the same skill level.

* Chainsaw massacre: If you loved the chainsaw bayonet in the original game, you now can duel computer or human opponents with gaming’s messiest weapon attachment.

* Hordes of options: Try the new five-player Horde mode, where you all face off against an unending wave of enemies, or any of the seven other multiplayer modes.
