Gears of War is back, bigger and better than ever. The game continues the story of Marcus Fenix, a reluctant war hero, he leads the Delta Squad on a series of perilous and adrenalin-pumping missions. The story engages survival, loss and retribution. Its six months after the detonation of the Lightmass Bomb at the end of the first game. Most of the Locust Horde was destroyed, but the explosion has caused much of the liquid Imulsion underground to vaporize, causing a fatal disease called “Rust Lung” it’s spreading amongst the diminished human population.

The visual effects include ambient occlusion, dynamic shadows, improved character lighting. There is increased blood and gore, when a player is dying, when he moves he will leave a trail of blood behind him, this is the same for enemies and the opponents who’ve been used as a meat shield. The action in the game is bigger and better there are new characters with nasty enemies that make the Brumak look like a baby panda bear, the vehicles are bigger there’s a Centaur Tank which is like a tank with Monster truck wheels also players can ride a Brumak in the Gears of War 2, previously the Brumak could only be fought by the player as an enemy, with new weapons as well as the ones from the previous game, the accuracy, function and the power of several weapons has been altered and now all grenades can now be used as mines by placing them on walls or floors and they will detonate when an enemy approaches it, chainsaw duels and shocking boss fights.

Anti-aliasing for smooth, crisp in game textures making the game characters look more like people and less like stick men. It's Surround sound ready and able to play DVD's at high quality, straight from the box. The Xbox 360 can also stream video and music from a range of electronic media devices such as Mp3's and iPods making it a true entertainment system.
